What Is A Life Path Number? All About Its Meaning In Numerology And How To Find Yours

Life path numbers 'denote specific energies and vibrations inherent in one's personality,' according to astrologer Lisa Stardust

Life Path Number

Even if you're not a mathematician or physicist, numbers are extremely important. Numerology is a tool that can help us find a deeper level of knowledge about ourselves through understanding the way they synchronize with the universe.

Life path numbers are found through the use of numerology and can broaden our horizons by how we relate to others and the world around us.

Since our life path numbers are based on our birth date information, it's essential to know that they are personal and aspirational, meaning they make up our emotional, mental and spiritual selves that we hold in our hearts, minds and essence.

Here's everything to know about life path numbers and how to find yours.

What is a life path number?

Ancient Babylonians, Egyptians and early Indo-Aryans used numbers to describe the world; however, Greek philosopher Pythagoras took numerology and the notion of life path numbers to a whole new level, thinking numbers connected the universe and humans.

The life path number denotes specific energies and vibrations inherent in one's personality. It shows the strengths and challenges a person has to embrace and overcome in their lifetime and the themes they'll deal with.

How do you find your life path number?

Finding your life path number is simple. Let's start with some basic math using the formula: Your birth month + birth date + year = life path number.

For example, if you were born May 5, 1992, this is the format: 0 + 5 + 0 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 2 = 31.

Then, you break down 3 + 1 = life path number 4.

What does your life path number mean?

Read below to find out the strengths and challenges of each life path number:

1: Taking charge and dominating matters may lead to greatness and positions of power. But it can also alienate you from working cohesively with others and learning how to accept criticism.

2: You like to collaborate since you see yourself through partnerships. To avoid disputes, make sure the relationship is on equal footing.

3: Communication helps build a strong foundation for the present and future. However, you tend to stir the pot and create drama by perpetuating gossip.

4: Home is where your heart is, so focus on building meaningful connections with friends and family. Stepping out of your comfort zone might be challenging, so try new things occasionally.

5: You want to live an autonomous life and oppose societal norms. Being free to do what you desire 24/7 means you need regulations to avoid abusing the sentiment.

6: As the ultimate organizer, you prefer structure and always act responsibly in relationships. The caveat is that you give too much time to others and projects instead of yourself.

7: You seek truth at all costs and believe in a higher purpose of being. At the same time, you can be unaware of how you treat others, which could lead to issues.

8: Abundance, power and vitality are some qualities you exhibit. When people let you down or don't play by your rules, you appear to be a victim — regardless of your role.

9: You are creative, empathetic and romantic. Although you are in a state of evolution, it is hard for you to transcend and change. The past always plays a part in your present attitude.

What is a master number?

After calculating your life path number, the result could yield a double-digit like 11, 22, 33 or 44. These are master numbers because the number of charisma and vitality in the life path is doubled.

Read below to find out the strengths and challenges of each master number:

11: This master number mirrors another juxtaposing nature. On one hand, they're leaders; on the other, they are delulu. Finding a balance between these sentiments is critical.

22: Partnerships come easily to this master number, allowing it to build and make something out of nothing. Embracing spirituality can help manifest romance and visions.

33: As the wise teachers, the master number 33 gives insight and creativity to those who inhabit it. Also, it can inspire awesomeness and bring divine guidance.

44: This is a controversial master number. Some consider it to be one, while others don't. Being one of the rarer master numbers makes people wonder, resilient and confident. They usually have long-lasting relationships and careers.

How are life path and master numbers different from angel numbers?

Angel number

It's important to note that life path and angel numbers are calculated similarly.

Life path numbers are single digits, while master numbers are double digits. When adding up your birth month, day and year together, if you receive a result that is 11, 22, 33 or 44, we would consider master numbers.

However, if all numbers are in the single-digit range of 1 through 9, they would be considered life path numbers. The life path number 10 equals a 1 (1 + 0 = 1), and it's not considered a master number since it would be the beginning of a new cycle and isn't the same double digits.

Going further, master numbers are life path numbers with an extra punch of energy. They have double the strength and power of single-digit life path numbers. Those who have a master number are the go-getters and the ones who make things happen. Often, they are leaders or teachers.

Angel numbers differ from life path and master numbers because these are sequences of three or more numbers that appear to us rather than found in our birthday DNA. Double digits that start at 55 are considered angel numbers since Archangels think 44 is a space of completion.

For most leagues, the fantasy football playoffs start in week 14, which means it's time for the final push. The tight end landscape has been awful this year, but recently, we've seen some promise from a number of rising players. Target these tight ends Dalton Kincaid (BUF)

So far Dalton Kincaid has only averaged 8.8 PPG on the year which hasn't lived up to his ADP of 51 per Fantasy Pros. The main question coming into the year was if Dawson Knox would eat into Kincaid but this year Knox has been a non factor scoring 2.8 PPG. Even with Amari Cooper coming into this Bills offense, Kincaid is being used more so as a big slot receiver which allows the two to play complimentary.

Kincaid has been drawing 6-7 targets per game since week four which is crucial In a rough tight end landscape. For tight ends, touchdown upside is crucial and the Bills provide that, scoring the 5th most points per game according to TeamRankings. FantasyPros has Kincaid as their TE14 but based on his talent and underrated situation, you're likely buying him at his floor right now.

T.J. Hockenson (MIN)

After missing the first half of the 2024 season, T.J. Hockenson is about to return. While we haven't seen him in a game yet this year, Hockenson would have easily been a top three tight end coming into the year. Up to this point in his career, Hockenson is averaging 11.6 PPG including a career best 14.6 PPG 2023 campaign.

One of the main reasons I would have been hesitant on Hockenson this year is the uncertain quarterback position. Despite only throwing for over 3,000 yards one in his career, Sam Darnold has looked fantastic already throwing for 1,610 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions in five games. I wouldn't worry too much about Jordan Addison either as he's only drawn more than four targets once this season. With a path to becoming the number two target, Hockenson is worth taking a shot on this year.

Avoid these tight ends Jake Ferguson (DAL)

Jake Ferguson isn't a bad tight end by any means but he's just clearly a middle of the pack guy at this point. Expect Ferguson to finish the season as a back end TE1 at best due to his historical history of never going above 10.5 PPG. This season Ferguson is averaging 9.5 PPG but CeeDee Lamb is rising by the week as Ferguson falls. In the last two games we saw Lamb score 16.1 and 39.6 points. This resulted in a 4.1 and 8.3 point game by Ferguson.

The other issue is that Dak Prescott has been significantly worse than last year scoring 14.9 PPG in 2024 compared to 20.2 PPG in 2023. Since Ferguson isn't the number one option, he needs this offense to be productive as a whole in order to get his share. As we talked about with Kincaid, it's important for tight ends to have touchdown upside. Ferguson most certainly doesn't have that playing with the Cowboys who have scored the 10th least points in the NFL.

Tucker Kraft (GB)

After a 4.6 PPG rookie season, Tucker Kraft broke onto the scene in 2024 and is averaging 11.1 PPG on the year. That said a lot of this is solely coming from touchdowns. Even though it's important to have touchdown upside, relying on that won't allow him to finish as the TE9 or higher like Fantasy Pros suggests. The trend this year is simple. In games where Kraft hasn't scored a touchdown he's never gone over six points.

The reason for this is because Kraft has only had more than five targets once this year. Despite going over 10 points in two of his last three games, Kraft has only drawn four, four and three targets. In an offense with other talented playmakers like Jayden Reed who is averaging 14.6 PPG, expect this struggle for targets to continue.

Dragon Age The Veilguard Romance Guide

As a BioWare game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has romance options, of course - and this time you can romance anybody, regardless of what gender you pick for Rook.

There are a few steps you need to take in order to commit to a companion in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, however, which we've explained in our complete Dragon Age: The Veilguard romance guide below.

This includes a list of all romance options, how to commit to a companion, and how to get a companion's romance scene.

On this page:

For more help on your travels across Thedas, check out our Dragon Age: The Veilguard walkthrough.

As mentioned above, you can romance all seven companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, no matter what gender or pronouns you pick.

The companions in Veilguard are:

  • Harding - A Dwarf rogue who is an Inquisition Agent.
  • Neve - A human mage who is part of the Shadow Dragons.
  • Bellara - An elven mage who is part of the Veil Jumpers.
  • Lucanis - A human rogue who is part of the Antivan Crows.
  • Davrin - An eleven warrior who is part of the Grey Wardens.
  • Taash - A Qunari warrior who is part of the Lords of Fortune.
  • Emmrich - A human mage who is part of the Mourn Watch .
  • For more information on each companion, check out our page on how to get all companions in The Veilguard.

There are four main steps you need to take in order to romance a companion in Dragon Age: The Veilguard:

  • Increase a companion's Bond and complete their quests.
  • Pick the 'flirt' option at least a few times.
  • Commit to a companion.
  • See their 'romance' scene.
  • You can flirt with as many companions as you want, right up until you get the scene that forces you to commit, or call off, a romance with them. You'll know you're rejecting a romance path when the symbol of a broken heart appears in the dialogue options.

So feel free to get flirty with any companion that catches your attention, if you can't decide right away.

All you have to do is pick the heart symbol when it appears on the dialogue wheel to flirt with a companion. You're not immediately locked-in to a romance as soon as you do this, so don't worry about getting close to multiple companions at once.

There are also opportunities to experience more unique 'flirting' than just a dialogue exchange, so make sure to follow through with these scenes in flirty fashion, if you're looking to romance the person that initiates them.

You need to increase your Bond with companions to unlock all of their quests, which also puts you down their romance path, as long as you're also flirting with them. You can check to see how high your Bond is with a companion by checking the number beneath their character name.

There are a number of ways to increase your Bond with companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard:

  • Complete quests with them in your party.
  • Pick dialogue options they approve of.
  • Give them a gift.
  • Kill enemies linked to their Faction.
  • Completing quests with the companion you want to romance in your party is the easiest way to increase your Bond with someone in The Veilguard. This can be tricky if you really need a specific party for tough boss battles, but remember that there are plenty of side quests to take on that can help out too.

For more information, check out our page on how to increase Bond with companions.

How to commit to a companion

As long as you've been following a companion's questline while flirting with them, you will eventually come to a romance scene with the option to commit to them, usually around the Chapter 10 mark (if you've been keeping up with the story while completing a companion's quest). Although, do keep in mind that this is just a general guideline, your commitment scene might unlock a little earlier or later than this!

Committing to a companion stops potential romances with others, and as far as we can tell, there isn't an option to break up with somebody and get with another companion later. So make sure you really want to be with that person when the opportunity arises.

Remember, you'll know you're rejecting a romance path when the symbol of a broken heart appears in the dialogue options.

Commiting to a companion isn't the end of a romance, as you'll continue to experience some small moments with them after confirming you want to be in a relationship with them.

Then, in true BioWare fashion, you get a 'romance scene' near the end of the game, before the final battle. So all you have to do is make sure you've committed to a companion before the end to ensure you experience a naughty night with them. And if you want to make it extra NSFW, remember to toggle nudity on in the settings.
