Uranus Direct Is Bringing Some Big Changes — And This 1 Zodiac Sign Will Feel It The Most
Prepare for some big changes.
On Jan. 30, Uranus will go direct in the sign of Taurus at 23 degrees, ending a five-month-long retrograde period that started on Sept. 1, 2024.
Astrologer Kyle Thomas tells PEOPLE that Uranus initially entered Taurus on May 15, 2018, and will be direct in the sign until July 7, 2025, when it enters Gemini. However, it will retrograde and return to Taurus from Nov. 8, 2025, until April 26, 2026, where it will not return for 84 years.
"Whenever Uranus — the planet of transformation, radical change, crisis and freedom — interacts with another planet, shocks and surprises are bound to happen," Thomas explains. "Even when Uranus causes things to feel chaotic, it's forcing us to move forward and bring better institutions into creation."
"Taurus — a Fixed sign — does not like to change and tends to turn inward when it comes to strong and intense shifts," he continues. "However, Uranus represents revolution and independent thinking."
Uranus will aim to push "humanity toward its greatest good and to find ways to grow and solve the problems of the collective," says Thomas.
While this energy will affect all zodiac signs, Thomas says that Taurus placements can expect "the greatest transformation on a personal level."

Aries (March 20-April 19) Aries. For Aries, Thomas says "Uranus will be moving directly in your income and finances sector, which will give you cutting-edge ideas on managing your money and generating new streams of it." "Think outside of the box because you can not only liberate yourself from debts but also amass much more if you enact a creative approach in cultivating it," he says. "You have been noticing that your personal values are changing and that you are seeing unique ones emerge within your psyche. Release the values that no longer serve you so you can embrace a more liberated sense of self-worth." Taurus (April 19-May 20) Taurus. For Taurus signs, Uranus direct will "bring you radiance and brilliance in ways beyond any other zodiac sign," per Thomas. "This can be very difficult for you because you are not a zodiac sign that embraces change well," Thomas says. "While you like things to stay the same and you appreciate your comfort zone, Uranus is telling you to embrace daring ideas and release all patterns that no longer serve you." During this time, "many Taurus will become the most famous people on Earth from now until 2026 because you will be taking on a courageous and radical approach to life." Thomas adds that this is not the time to "settle for just good enough or for relationships and patterns that limit you." Gemini (May 20-June 20) Gemini. Gemini, Thomas says "you are being encouraged to face your innermost needs and the past with Uranus shaking things up in your sector of karma." "Many Gemini will notice that their dreams have been mysterious and laced with hidden meanings," he continues. "Your intuition and psychic abilities are emerging in ways you have never known in your lifetime and this will allow you to perceive things that others cannot yet comprehend." Thomas notes that this is the best time to "embrace these gifts and plan for the future because you are being granted visions of how to evolve as a human being." He also advises you to "release traumas and nightmares that haunt you." Cancer (June 20-July 22) Cancer. For Cancer, Thomas says that after Jan. 30, Uranus will "reside in your social sector and is bringing you many fierce and one-of-a-kind friends." "You will attract people who are very different from you and harbor magnificent ideas about the world," he adds. "You'll likely break out of your established circles and embrace a more spontaneous side." This time will bring an emphasis on "big plans for the future and realizing that no matter how fantastic the dream is, you may be able to turn it into a reality." "Do not be afraid: embrace challenging hopes for yourself," Thomas continues. "You also may have the ability to create change in the coming years that unites and helps foster an evolved perspective on the human collective. You truly could bring people together in a way we have not yet seen in the modern era." Leo (July 22-Aug 22) Leo. Leo, expect "wild" changes in your career. "You love to be a trendsetter and have all eyes on you – and this is exactly what Uranus will bring when you harness your deepest creativity and challenge yourself," Thomas says. "Be wild and be shocking! Think of profound new ways of doing things and revolutionize your industry." During this time, Thomas adds that "many Leos are changing directions in their careers and embarking on liberated paths. If this is calling to you, assess if now is the time to start turning your visionary ideas into tangible action." Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 22) Virgo. Virgo, this will be the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone. "Many Virgos could harness this energy through academics or higher studies while some could find groundbreaking techniques for spiritual and meditative practices," Thomas explains. "No matter who you are, though, if you embrace people, backgrounds, lifestyles and countries much different than yours, you could find yourself forever changed." Libra (Sept. 22-Oct 22) Libra. "You may want things to be a bit more equal or to share the weight differently." Thomas adds that "other Libras are being forced to face their karma in their relationships as well as their fears. This could be a time to release these inhibitions and accept new journeys rather than being stuck in old patterns." Scorpio (Oct. 22-Nov. 21) Scorpio. Scorpio, this energy will continue to evolve "the way you form and stand within partnerships." "You are being told to follow their lead now and allow them to evolve your mind and to redirect your path forward." For the happily committed Scorpios, you are likely noticing that your partners are acting a bit more erratically or spontaneously now – or perhaps craving more freedom."
