Chinese New Year 2025: Predictions for the Year of the Wood Snake for each sign
The Chinese Zodiac's Predictions For 2021 - The Gazette
In the lunar calendar, Feb. 12 marks the first day of the new year. And in the Chinese horoscope, 2021 is the year of the ox.
The Chinese zodiac is similar to the zodiac most Americans are familiar with - the one with Pisces and Leo and Sagittarius - but there are some differences. Both zodiacs have 12 signs, but in the Chinese zodiac, the signs are associated with a whole year instead of just a month.
That means everyone born in a lunar year (which usually starts in late January or early February) has the same Chinese zodiac sign. Past years of the ox include 2009, 1997 and 1985.
The ox is associated with hard work, so 2021 should be a year when work is rewarded. According to the Chinese zodiac, people who put in a lot of effort this year will be rewarded with money and other riches.
Use the lists below to find your birth year's symbol in the Chinese zodiac.
